Rapid Rail Target System

What is the Rapid Rail Target system ?

The Rapid Rail target system is a variant of our highly sucessful EDM target system. it is an easy application, one piece component, suitable for application in specific situations where the EDM system may prove dificult to apply.

• The target is made of injected polythene which makes it resilient to weather conditions.
• It does not become brittle under prolongued exposure to UV light.

 

 

 

 

 

The target can be left in-situ indefinitly, facilitating return readings and quick set up times for engineers on site. An excellent example of the rapid Rail Target System application is at land slip sites. The target is already being successfully used by companies such as Carillion, Birse Rail, Balfour Beatty, Kier Rail.

Using the Rapid Rail Target System

The target is applied to the rail as shown in the image here. A standard mastic type adhesicve is used to fix the target in place. The system is quick and easy to apply and hence provides a flexible solutiojn to railway engineers on site.
